Our Firewise officer, Lin, was delighted to meet colleagues from The Henry Brown Community Centre, West Howe, to chat about how we can help support their local community. She talked about the Firewise project and how it can help local residents in the event of a wildfire and throughout the season.
Tragically, wildfires have been in the news a lot recently and it’s something we can experience here in Dorset, particularly near areas of heathland.
We will be working closely with key contacts in all our most at risk communities to explain what the main dangers are and how we can help protect our homes, keeping in touch along the way.
It’s brilliant to be working with the team at West Howe, and we look forward to supporting them going forward.
