Our wardens Phil and Sally had a great time speaking to visitors at the Sika Trail car park in Wareham Forest as part of Heath Week.
With the frequent visitors and holiday makers, it was a great opportunity to talk about our precious heaths here in Dorset along with the problems they are facing.
Phil and Sally were very lucky to be joined by Forestry England Wildlife Ranger, Mark Warn, who led an extremely informative guided walk. Topics he covered included the history and management of the forest, the role of wildlife rangers, various conservation initiatives and the pressures these invaluable habitats are under.
